I use another plugin Wordtwit which works a treat, and lets the twitterverse know the instant I post on my WP blogs. I've just installed Twitter Tools on one of them to grab the publish weekly digest function. I'm keen to see how this goes.

I could be wrong, but since Blogger is a hosted environment, it is not possible to install a 'push' solution like Twitter Tools for Wordpress. Instead, an alternative method must be used. Posterous is an example of a service I'd recommend, but it lacks the automation capabilities found in the Wordpress plugin I recommend. I'll probably cover Posterous soon, as it is a multi-network solution that many may find appealing.

Great article Mike. Can you recommend any solutions for those of us who use Blogger?

I suppose one could use Posterous for this as well, and I'll probably write about that in a few days, but my objective was to have a tool that would save me the trouble of having to do it manually, and Twitter Tools for Wordpress fits the bill nicely.

Cool post! I personally use FriendFeed, which posts to Twitter. So usually I post on my blog, recommend that post to FriendFeed (which brings me a different user set) and then FriendFeed posts to Twitter. It works really well for me.
Cheers!
