Today Mailchimp posted a sneak peak at some of the new features in version 4 of their service, slated to be introduced in the January/February time frame. They have added some incredibly useful visualization tools that will help you to get the most out of your email campaigns. Tops on my list is the Click Map feature that shows precisely where it is on your emails that people are clicking. Another enhancement is the ability upload zip files containing html and image files for complete campaigns. Even more interesting is the ability import a URL as an email campaign template.
Mailchimp is a tool I spend a lot of time using, and with these enhancements it’s bound to become more even more useful in 2009.
